How Happy Are You This Sunday?

I do enjoy playing the good oldé ukulele at times, though it may annoy others at times. They must all be jealous of my ‘skillz’. Don’t worry; I won’t try to be hip again.

So why the ukulele you might ask? It’s all because of one lady, Kate Micucci. Any of you that watch Scrubs should know her, that’s if you’ve watched season 9 of it anyway. She’s plays a ukulele player that essentially has the job of playing songs to sick kids. She then plays a few songs, one with the character ‘Ted’, entitled ‘Screw You’. Which I absolutely loved! So, when I found out it was actually entitled ‘Fuck You’ and originally done by Garfunkel & Oates (Of which Kate Micucci is one part of, the other being Riki Lindhome) I felt I had to learn how to play the song. Which I did, quite quickly, on the guitar but it wasn’t good enough; I needed to play the ukulele part! So onto eBay to purchase one for cheap (only £17, not bad). Of course, I proceed to learn it. I will play it for you one day...

After informing Monday Richard of this purchase, he expressed his feelings about it and it was of slight annoyance, as he had just become a fan of ukulele playing also! Except by another ukulele lady by the name of Sophie Madeleine(Of another duo called Rocky & Balls), it made sense really, she had a song about beards. On to more ukulele learning for me after learning about this fact!

So ever since, I’ve been finding other songs of ukulele nature, forcing me to get out the ukulele for more learning! Like this song, it was at the end of a Scrubs episode. I purchased the album from which it was from and have again loved it ever since! Hence, the learning of the song and figured, ‘Bus it! I shall record it for everyone to enjoy!’

So, I hope you enjoy it, check out the artists I’ve mentioned!
