Aka The BFG 2

Okay I made that last bit up but look at it!
The Troll Hunter is the latest in the current trend of “homemade footage” genre. The story follow the familiar scenario of The Blair Witch Project, it follows a group a film students making a documentary about bear poaching….the illegal hunting type, not the egg cooking type…. Their investigations so lead them to a man name Han, apparently the only poacher in all of Norway and expected he tells them to fuck off. So with the intelligence that you would expect from the average video production student the group decide to follow slightly creepy looking poachers Landrover full of guns into the woods in the dead of night in the hope of getting some footage of…..something. The story takes a sudden turn when our heroes stumble across a government conspiracy to hide the existence of trolls from the general public. Han so after agrees to let the students document the hunters activities the reveal to the world that trolls exist.
So cue the screams and shaky camera action. Am I the only one that tired of “mockumenty” films although this is a huge improvement from Blair Witch I don’t think theirs a lot more this film and any other like this to appear can do that has already been do. The real attraction of this film is of course the trolls themselves.
They come in different shapes and sizes many breeds are mentioned but the main types are the mountain trolls and the forest.
I found it quick and enjoyable film over all, I could never really tell if the film was intended as a serious thriller or a comedy, like a lot of films it has its brief moments of black comedy and weirdly the lead role was taken by the popular Norwegian comedian Otto Jespersen….
I’ve now run out of things to say about this movies, not the best ending but with a Nintendo 3DS next to me so we’re lucky I got any work do.
It’s good, GO WATCH IT!
