Why do I keep talking myself into this...

Its time for another Monday Richard rhyming wrap up!

Its been a while since I did this last
Time for another, to make you all gasp
Last time I was rhyming with film names
This time let us look at books and board games

I love to read, I read every day
but my favourite book? Now that's hard to say
Sir Terry Pratchett is one of my favourite writers,
His Discworld books have caused many all nighters.
I love the works of JK Rowling she writes whole hearted,
I may now be too old for it, but I wasn't when she started.
I loved Eoin Colfer's books about Artemis Fowl,
except for that last one, that one made me scowl.
Robin Hobb weaves words with the eye of a master,
And me with her books? I doubt anyone could read faster.
A new love of mine is the Dresden Files books,
They are short but my attention Jim butcher always hooks.
J. R. R. Tolkien a great writer, that's a safe gambit,
I hate lord of the rings, but I loved the hobbit.
I could talk about fiction forever and a day.
But now non fiction books will have a say.
I've not read a Danny Wallace book that I did not care for,
His real life adventures always leave me wanting more.
A similar writer I like is Dave Gorman
They even worked together once, though Dave was the foreman
Will Ferguson wrote a book I read all the time,
Its a real view of Japan its sparkle and its grime
The last book on this list, I love more than cake,
(It should have been in the first part, so pardon my mistake.)
The book I would pick if you had me over a barrel.
Alice in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll

Next to suffer my rhymes are anything called a board game.
(This list will be shorter, but rhyme all the same)
A game that for all of my childhood I was fond,
Was Atmosfear (or Nightmare across the pond)
I love me some chess, but this will make your toes curled
I like better the strategy in the game known as Small World.
Zombies!!! (yes all 3 explanation points are part of its name)
Is great fun, but it can take all day to play a single game
Keys to to the kingdom is a game right out of my past.
But you could convince me to play it really quite fast.
The fifth and final game to suffer my rhyme.
Is Carcassonne although I play it on-line.

Atmosfear is a great game, though very hard to actually win!

Favourite author though, mine would probably be Robert Rankin, I'd highly recommend some!

You're very good at this Richard!

I did read it and picture you rapping it all "gangster stlye"!
