Monday Richard's mini review mania.

Captain america.

I Love me a good super hero film, and I love Most of the marvel universe. I have never however been a fan of Captain America, as a British comic book fan Captain America's pure Americanism never did it for me.

The film however, was really good. IT could have done with some better action beats, but I find it hard to fault the film on anything else.  The acting was reassuringly good, the characters where relate able and easy to connect with and the overall feel of the film was just great.

Go see this film, you won't be disappointed. (its way better than Thor anyway)

Horrible bosses

I was not sold on this film from its trailer, it looked ok, but nothing about it jumped out at me, it looked like another crappy comedy film, that might have a few choice moments.

Man did I underestimate it.

This film may be one of the funniest films i have seen in a good few years, I was laughing pretty much the whole time, and it even caused my girlfriend to stop and stare at me more than once for laughing too loud.

The premise is simple, 3 guys decide they want to "take care" of their bosses, but its how they try to accomplice this that really sells the film. I went into this film pretty sure of how it was going to go, but it surprised me at every turn.

The film is pure gold and I can not recommend it enough.

Fallout New Vegas "Old world blues" - Xbox 360

I have talked about Fallout New Vegas a couple of times now, each time i have always felt that it was damn close to being a perfect game while never quite making it.

Old world blues changes that.

Its as close to a perfect DLC as I have ever seen, its exciting, its funny it feels epic and it adds enough to the game to make it a must buy.

Old world blues does a excellent job at feeling like classic fallout, while delivering on new Fallout hopes. if you have ever played fallout 1 or 2 you will love Old world blues. but if you haven't it will still give you a feeling of how great a setting Fallout really can be.

If you own Fallout New Vegas, you need to own this.

Fable 3 - Xbox 360

Fable 3 is an odd one for me. I love Fable 1 & 2 and i kind of love fable 3, but it just does not seem to have the magic of the Fable's past. I'm not saying its a bad game, its just not a fantastic game. I did not see much reason to replay it, and the story is uninspiring.

However this weekend past i discovered what Fable 3 does really well. Distract girlfriends.... I mean co-op.

I introduced Tuesday Shanice to Fable this weekend, and she loves it, but the true strength i found was how easy it was to pick up a second controller and jump into the game with her.

When i did my character from my save appeared along side hers, and I was able to join her on her adventure, when i wanted to do something else, it was just as easy to drop out without disrupting her game at all.

This added so much to the game. it rekindled my interest in it, and allowed us to bond over a new shared experience.

a couple that plays together, stays together.

I do want to see Horrible Bosses, even though the only thing that originally drew me to it was the actor Charlie Day. So it's good to hear it is actually good!

He also created this gem of a song...
