Not all Vampires suck.....you know what i mean.

What ever happened to Vampires?

Remember how Vampires use to be?

"do I have food in my teeth?"

Dark seductive monsters who hide in the shadows and feasts on the blood of helpless virgins ( and Winona Ryder)

"MORE CHERRY COKE LIP BALM PLZ!"

And this is what we get today. a sparkle pretty boy who flies from tree to tree not drinking blood and is probably still a virgin. ( or would be if not for Winona Ryder)

but there is still hope! here are some recent Vampire stuff that don't..er.. not suck!...

True blood

Hold of your bored sighs, it's not as bad as you think.

Based on a novel by Charlaine Harris True Blood is set in a time when Vampires have come out of the supernatural closet and are living among mankind thanks to the creation of a blood substitute True Blood.

it's centres around Sookie a small town waitress who just happens to be able to read peoples thoughts. she soon meets a vampire named Bill and the Twilight style romance ensues. the most interesting thing about this is not so much the relationship between the two main characters but the it's take on the vampire culture as a whole. it also features other supernatural types such as Werewolves, Shape-shifters, witches and many more. If your looking for a more adult version of Twilight you should give it a look.

Fright Night

Good old fashioned Vampire movie. No gentle miss understood romantics here just blood thirsty, gory vampire action.

a teenager from a small Las Vegas suburb suspects his new neighbour is a Vampire. he seeks out the help of a local magician and Vampire expert to help defeat the vampire staking his neighbourhood. a very good, not very original vampire remake. very gory and with a good bit of humour thrown in too.

Thirst

Koreas take on a Vampire romance if your looking for sexy fanged Vampire look elsewhere.

a catholic priest volunteers to test a vaccine for a deadly virus. but thanks to a infected blood transfusion he comes back to life as a vampire. coming to terms with his new life and a unrelenting lust for blood he falls in love with a friends wife he tries to cope with the inner conflict between his faith and his carnal desires.
