Set in the ranch style town of Appaloosa Plains you and your pets can enjoy a walk in the dog/cat friendly parks or take you horse down to the training court to get them ready for the big races. Dressed in your horse riding clothes and hat, you’re the cowboy around this place!!

Dogs and Cats can be trained to hunt for other small animals and items. They can be added to your family and customised in build a family mode or adopted via phone. You need to train your dog/cat not to be destructive by ‘Scolding them if they destroy your furniture or ‘Praising’ them if they fetch your paper, date (yes dogs can do this!) or simply if they are good pets!

Horses – can be customised and added to your family in build a family mode or adopted via phone. They can be trained to compete in tournaments or simply kept as pets. Wild horses - are found roaming around. You have to watch them first so they feel comfortable around you. Then you can build a relationship with them and have them as a pet.

Minor Animals such as Reptiles, Birds, Rodents, Turtles, Chipmunks and many more! – found around the world. If you have trained dogs/cats, you can get them to hunt for animals for you. There are special homes for these small pets such as terrariums and birdcages; they only take up around 2 squares so save space in your house. Very low maintenance pets, feed and clean their cage regularly.

UNICORN!! – Yeah boy I said Unicorn! Here’s how you can get your own...

 If you select a Sim with the animal lover trait, then on the neighbourhood at night (8pm to 5am) you’ll get a glowing area that shows there is a unicorn. There is around a 40% chance of the unicorn appearing every night. You might get lucky and see one the first night you look, or you may have to wait several nights. The important thing is to keep looking if you don’t find one right away.

Note: the unicorn still has the same chance of showing up if you don’t have a Sim with the animal lover trait, but you won’t get the glowing area on map view, so they won’t be as easy to find.

The unicorn’s favourite places to appear are fishing spots, then beaches, then large parks, then small parks.The unicorn can be black so not as easily spotted as a white unicorn.

When you got your very own unicorn, you can go into Create a Pet mode by clicking on the unicorn > Saddle > Edit Saddle. There click on the unicorn’s portrait at the bottom and ‘Save Pet to Bin’.Now whenever you create a new household, you can choose your unicorn out of the bin! This unicorn will be just the same as if you had found it in game – powers and everything.

You can set your unicorn free into the wild, but you can’t sell it like you can with normal horses, or put it up for adoption like you can with other pets.

N.B. Pets are easier to handle if you have the animal lovers trait!
