Two genetic engineers who successfully splice together the DNA of two animals plan to take the experiment to the next step by splicing with human DNA. With ethical and political issues preventing them from continuing they carry on in secret raising the new creature as if it was their own child. overall a pretty interesting film if not very disturbing toward the end but if you find yourself wishing for a film to end its probably not a good sign.
Machete.
Machete is a former Mexican police officer working as a day labourer in Texas. After being hired to assassinate a congress man he is soon double crossed and on the run from the law while trying to find the man who set him up he uncovers a conspiracy to close the border between Mexico and US complete and getting revenge against the drug lord who killed his wife (or daughter i wasn't really paying attention). What actually started out as a fake trailer show during Plant terror has become a classic Robert Rodriguez action pack tribute to the exploitation film era. With a excellent cast lots of machete based action and explosions it really is worth watching.
Surrogate.
In the future people live without fear of death or injury by living threw robotic surrogates but a string of attacks killing the surrogate as well as the operator forces Tom Greer (Bruce Willis) to leaves his home for the first time in years to track down the killer. a surprisingly good well written film really worth watch despite the poor attempt to make Bruce Willis look like a ken doll.
