One-Year-a-Versary & Top Ten Posts of 2011

Can you believe it? Today marks Zombie Outbreak's official one year anniversary!

Over the past year, we have contributed game and movie reviews, music videos, tips and rants of all shapes, sizes and guises for your reading pleasure. A whole year has passed, and our baby's all grown up.

We even got cake in honour of this auspicious occasion.

A few thanks are in order, I believe. First of all, I would like to thank Matt for teaching me a little something about what it means to be a man whenever he dresses in drag for a video. Secondly, I would like to thank The Hulse for teaching me how to make breakfast.

I would then like to thank Richard for inviting me to take part in this revolution we are leading, and to thank Richard, Voni, Matt, Shanice, The Hulse and Simon (and Will, wherever he may be) for all of their contributions- these guys have some of the most creative, outrageous, vivid imaginations I've ever known, and Zombie Outbreak wouldn't work without them.

And thanks to any loyal fans we may have. In fact, to measure whether we have any loyal fans or not, if you are one then give us a shout via the comments section, our Facebook fan page or via Twitter (links on the right of the page as always).

It's been great fun- we do it for the joy of it ('cause it sure ain't for the money) and we will continue to deliver our quality content directly to your eyeballs via the medium of the Internet for the foreseeable future.

All backslapping and pandering to our fan base now complete, I thought that we'd finish our celebrations by looking at our most popular posts. As lists are apparently my gimmick right now, I give to you Zombie Outbreak's Ten Most Popular Posts Of 2011.

#10 - Halloween Hangouts and Crazy Costumes  (25 October, 2011)

In our Halloween-themed week, Shanice gave us some pointers on where to go for a good time at Halloween, as well as what to dress up while you're at it. Why not visit Alton Towers as a pair of norks?

#9 - Ukulele Fun at Alton Towers
(10 April, 2011)

Zombie Outbreak's own bard Matt took his instrument of choice with him to Alton Towers. Much music and merriment was made.

#8 - BE YOUNG AGAIN! The Creepy Way...
(19 March, 2011)

Shanice shows us how we can be the wrong side of youthful- with a selection of creepy latex baby masks. I kid you not...

#7 - The Craziest Portal 2 Consipracies
(19 August 2011)

Everyone loves Portal 2. Everyone loves a good conspiracy theory. So naturally, if you combine the two together, you get something that is definitely intriguing. Warning: spoilers.

(30 November 2011)

While it is a coincidence that number six in the list is a list of six, it's no coincidence that the six games consoles listed are there, because they all sucked so hard they could suck a golf-ball through a garden hose.

Pictured: your Sega Mega Drive being violated.

(6 August 2011)

Who would've thought that a movie-licensed Pirates of the Caribbean PC game which Simon bought from a bargain bin would be any good? Well.. Simon, apparently. Click the link in the title and read on if you want to know why.

#4 - Why You Should Watch 'My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic'
(16 September 2011)

My name is Luke, and I am NOT a Brony.

Voni is, however, and you may learn a little something about her obsession with My Little Pony by reading this. I still don't get it, personally.

#3 - The End is Nigh!
(16 May 2011)

According to a religious nutter named Harold Camping, Zombie Outbreak should never have made it to it's one-year anniversary- because he predicted that the end of the world would come on May 21st, 2011.

He was wrong, obviously.

I get the feeling that no one really took him seriously (besides the folk who sold or gave away all of their belongings). Richard certainly didn't.

#2 - The Sims Social, Or My Imminent Downfall
(2 September 2011)

Voni explains The Sims Social to us- y'know, the Sims game for Facebook? She also explains why it threatened to ruin her life by becoming her life.

Harry Potter And The Monday Blog Post
(18 July 2011)

The mastermind behind Zombie Outbreak himself tops the list of most popular posts of the past year, with a post about Harry Potter. I guess if you wanted to get a ton of page views, then writing about Harry Potter in the year of the franchise's final film being released is probably a safe bet. Well done Richard.

In this blog post, Richard reminisces and takes a trip down memory lane, as he reveals to us his love affair with author JK Rowling's award winning book-come-film-franchise-come-media-juggernaut.

It's our most popular post of the past year, so if you've not read it by now then step to it!

And that concludes our Top Ten, as well as our celebration of Zombie Outbreak's first year. Stay with us- we've got a few years in us yet.
