World Book Night

Hey Kids, remember those things? Full of pages with written words on them, usually amazing covers and one of the best smells ever when you bought a new one? Called books or something....
Anyway World Book Night, on April 23rd, aims at promoting reading and books to communities across the world in order to share peoples passion for the written word. The reason I am writing this now and not in April is because they are still looking for volunteers to help out with this event and I reckon Zombie Outbreak can do us proud. Also I bet you lot are clever enough to realise the importance of April 23rd in the world of literature. No? Answer in the comments then (dont use google you scummy cheats).
How does it work?
Well head over to www.worldbooknight.org where you can find information on how to sign up, check if your favourite author has made it onto the list of the 25 books you can choose to give out and see what the event is hoping to achieve for local and worldwide communities.

Smash up your kindle, and pick up a book. Aright?

Kindle's aren't so bad, you know. I don't think e-readers will replace books- hard copy is still very popular. I just think it's an alternative means of distribution, and they're great for someone (like me) who doesn't have much space to keep books. Kindle books are also cheaper, which is nice- I just hope that that doesn't mean the author is getting the shaft because of that.
