Secondly, just a mention to the other bloggers here on Zombie Outbreak for their awesome contributions so far. However, I can't actually believe somebody wrote something even vaguely relating to politics before I did! (See Richard's Monday post for this week). I was sure that if I posted my thoughts on the current government's plans for economic recovery that a) no one would be interested, and b) I would be dubbed a right-wing, hard-nosed, anti-socialist pig (and maybe I am- apart from the pig bit. I've yet to develop into a pink-skinned quadruped with trotters and a snout- though that could adequately describe John Prescott, ironically).
Truth is I'm quite happy to have David Cameron and the Conservatives (oh, and those Liberal Democrat folk) in power. The problem is, the Conservatives always fight an uphill struggle after Labour have been in- it's pretty much a-shoe-in that whenever the Tories get in they end up making cuts to re-coup the money that Labour have inevitably wasted- due Labour having the financial capacity of a seven-year-old on a school playground playing marbles for keepsies- and then getting the stick for it. Hey, at least the Tories have got the guts to be upfront with you about taking your money from you. Labour would rather do it in craftier ways, such as spending it on an unjust war of no real gains in a middle-eastern country.
Oops, did I just say that?
Another thing that I feel a majority of the posters on Zombie Outbreak are not going to care about is anything to do with football- however, with it's link to recent acts of sexism being so topical, I think it's worth a mention.
Much to my shock, veteran pundit Andy Gray got his P45 yesterday after a combination of sexist remarks pretty much spelled own-goal and then full-time for the now-former Sky commentator. His first offence was being caught- along with co-pundit Peter Keys- suggesting that match official Sian Massey, as a woman, could not possibly understand the offside rule. As Gray was essentially caught out by the fact that his mic was still on even though the broadcast was not on air, after an apology I thought he might get away with that one. However, he was shown a red card (sorry, I'll stop the football references now) after footage was leaked of him asking a female sports presenter to tuck a microphone down his trousers, leaving Andy Gray stitched up worse that the FIFA 2010 World Cup Jabulani match ball.
I was going to make some tongue-in-cheek quips and other assorted jokes along the lines of "this sort of thing wouldn't happen if Massey was back in the kitchen when this was all happening", but decided it would be in bad taste, and somewhat offside.
... What?

*Slaps wrist* Now dn't miss a day again!
I don't agree he should have been sacked, no. What he did was stupid and pretty ignorant, but not worth sacking anyone for! Personally I reckon he should have been made to apologise publicly, but I suppose he had to be made an example of.
Trick question: If a woman had been commenting on how men couldn't dress fashionably, say, would she get sacked?
Pretty much what I think. Not to mention the guy is a legend and a great commentator. And who is gonna commentate on the FIFA games now! :p
