As you probably known, if you live in the united kingdom at least. the government is in the middle of revamping the university fee structure, making student life in the united kingdom a much more expensive prospect. What you might not know, is that I am currently in my foundation year in university and that it still remains to be seen if these changes will effect the amount of money I will have to pay for my degree.
What might shock you is that faced with a possible 200% increase to my future student loans... I actually agree with the proposed changes.

What? you say, you want to owe more money for your education than anyone has before? well no, if I could get away with out paying a penny i would, but here is the most important point,
University fee’s have always been high, its just that the students did not have to pay all of them. Who did? everyone else, a portion of tax payers money went to pay for the free/cheep education that the united kingdom has enjoyed in the past.
This means that every person earning over 9.5k a year is paying for it. this new system means that the people who will have to pay for it, are the people who will be directly benefited by the degree, the university leavers.
Don’t forget also, the new rules for student loans mean you won’t have to pay back a penny till your earning over 21k, (as opposed to earning over 15k in the old system) so you will never have to pay back more than you can afford, if you never get a good job, guess what? you never have to pay it back.
What these changes might do however, is stop the frivolous degrees and maybe free up the graduate job market a bit, who is going to rack up 27 thousand pounds worth of dept to study something they are just doing to pass the time? this means that fewer students will be willing to spend to learn about golf management, surf science or media studies and will instead make the long term investment to study something that might actually lead to a well paying job and if you do make the choice to do a degree in dance, at least you will never earn enough to have to pay it back.

Less tax for me to pay? WIN!!
Well, for me anyway!
Not less tax to pay, your tax will just end up paying for something you use and not for students *chough*voni's*chough* degree
THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY DEGREE.
