Now that I have reached ¼ of 100 years of age, I felt that I should discuss how being/feeling old is strange. Despite being only 25, I’m beginning to feel the strain of age! Well, to be honest, I’ve been feeling that for many more years. It’s never fun making the sound of an old man whenever getting in or out of a chair, or bending down to pick up an item from off the floor. I think ever since about the age of 20 I have been making that sound!! Not really a good sign me thinks!!
Doesn’t help that at work at the moment, I tend to work with people who are 17, just turned 18 or only in their extremely early 20’s! Have you ever had a conversation with someone of 17/18 and mention something that was so common to you when you were young but yet, they have absolutely no idea what the chuffing’ hell you are on about?? Happens all too often to me it seems.
Anyway, the fact that I know I’m not even old, I always tend to feel it. By the way, all those who are 30 or over/senior citizen type can be quiet, I know you are older! Still, doesn’t take away the feeling!! It’s like when the internet was new, I remember that! When there was only dial up with that gorram awful dialling sound! Nowadays, it’s all wireless, broadband, already connected internet goodness! These kids today don’t know how good they have it!!
I feel I should be standing with a cane waving around at all you reading this like the old man that I am currently sounding like! Somebody go get me some Werther’s Original for me to eat before I decay in this rocking chair!!
So, what we have learned is that we all get old, we are all older than someone that will then in turn mock us for being said older than them and as that happens we should all take our walking sticks and bash them over their noggins! Mainly because they refused to bring the Werther’s Original.
Now, look at this card I found at work. It’s a card for a 30 year old and reminds you of things that makes you feel old! Now, I’m now just 25 and I remember all of this stuff. Soooo depressing!

Those of you who also remember when these things happened/existed and are not yet 30, you too are old!
